Troppo e troppo presto. Celebriamo la libertà sessuale uccidendo l’erotismo

“My mom didn’t like the Beatles. Today’s parents like Maneskin.
Conflict has become a kind of barter. The kids’ revolution was silenced by the community, which wrapped it in extreme conservatism. Pasolini would be very worried, his denunciation of consumerism has come true. Today, grandparents buy the same things as their grandchildren. This has never happened in human history. That break was a healthy thing, everyone lived the right time of their lives. Today, parents want to be younger than their children, and that flattens and makes friendly a relationship that should be based on the recognition of roles. The captain, the point of reference, no longer exists. Perhaps it is the fulfillment of ’68, from the anti-authoritarian revolt. But now a generation that challenged their fathers has become servants to their own children. They are not capable of saying no, of guiding without using authoritarianism, but experience. There is a truce: I let you do what you want, you don’t inflict the tension of a conflict on me. But in this way, the desire for autonomy, the anxiety of cutting the umbilical cord, the full affirmation of one’s identity, are extinguished. The generational conflict has disappeared. And it is not good.”
“If you have everything, you don’t look for anything. One of the most used artificial intelligence applications by children is called “Replica.”
Isn’t that absurd? Every generation has tried to create, not to replicate. They didn’t want to reiterate, but to surprise, not to accept the mash of what is there, but the invention of the new. We are becoming lonely and we are happy about it. We have stopped talking to each other. At school, in the family, in the sections, in the parishes, in the circles or in the squares. If we want to save ourselves, we must get out of alignment, we must give up the obvious, live life from an original point of view. We must not replicate, we must invent.”
And the sexuality?
“Today it is lived without desire. Young people who frequent pornographic websites at a very young age increase their consumption but end up trivializing the wonderful mystery of sex. Eroticism is discovery, not consumption. Casanova said “Eroticism is the wait” and instead now everything is blurted out. Too much and too early. We celebrate sexual freedom by killing eroticism.”
